11th Annual Banquet 2013

Mayor James Young of Phildelphia, MS and his wife Sheryl Young.
Mayor Young, the Keynote speaker at the
Annual Banquet.
The Jasper County Tioch Community Association held its 11th annual Banquet on April 6th at the Bay Springs City Hall. The association looks forward to this event every year and the night did not disappoint. Sheriff Chris Sargent served as the master of ceremony and led us through a night of great entertainment and an inspirational message. The night started with a welcome and several song selections by Teresa Bender accompanied by Douglas Berry.
The speaker for the evening, Mayor James Young of Philadelphia MS, gave the crowd an uplifting, inspirational, and informative message. As he spoke about the plight of the young people in our town and communities, this message challenged us with a call to action. He encouraged us to become more involved in the lives of young people and to be instrumental in guiding them and helping them succeed.
The Banquet is one of the organizations largest yearly fundraisers. Support through events like this and other activities helps fund ongoing expenses, scholarships and the building fund. The help of the volunteers and all those who participated aids the organization in meeting the needs of the community. New members are always welcomed and if you are interested in joining the organization, please contact us at our email address or through the website.
